We are blessed to have just over 14 acres of land, which is bordered by a river and an old trestle trail. We took an impromptu hike yesterday down to the river. We like to let the dogs take turns going with us. Today was Mal’s turn. This guy cannot keep out of the water! Even when it’s frigid! I had so much fun watching him jump into the river time and time again to retrieve the sticks the kids kept throwing for him. Of course I wasn’t thrilled when he decided to take a lovely dust bath after his swim, but he certainly loved it!

What a coincidence! Lucy, the beautiful puppy we were so lucky to adopt from you, was just in the water swimming after sticks and she did the dust roll right after swimming too!!! She loves hiking and eating leaves, getting cuddles, and attempting to swim. This post made Craig and I so happy to see!
Birk (one of Mal’s pups from December), 2015 is also quite a swimmer. He’s 5 1/2 mos. now and went to the lake for the second time today. He would swim out as far as I could throw the stick. He’s a pretty big boy now, great hiker and perfect sweet Golden personality. Thanks so much for such a great pup!
